I admit it – of all the bizarre alms boxes and ingenuous artifacts to collect donations to be found in Buddhist temples across Thailand and Laos, I found my favourite inside the beautiful Wat Wang Wiwekaram, a few kilometres from the city of Sangkhlaburi, where the Kanchanaburi province meets Myanmar.
